Description

The mold making weeks are part of the complete sculpture program. This course can be attended by external students who have recently made a portrait or figure at Figura. Under the guidance of experienced sculptors you will make a mold of your sculpture. The mold is suitable for making your own plaster casts. The mold can also be used to make casts in wax or bronze in a foundry.

Program

In the weekend students apply the rubber mold: 2 layers of silicone, a third layer plus walls and design of the undercut keys. After the weekend the mothermold is being made: on Monday plaster shell and walls, on Tuesday supports, clay recycling and opening, on Wednesday splash coat, cleaning and demo.

Time table

9:00 - 18.00 h (some days we might end around 20:00 h)
